Finally, I am getting some pictures up here - as you can see I didn't get many and the ones I did manage to take are not very good. I don't know what was up with my camera but it was not cooperating that day. I thought it actually died, it was stuck open and then not turning back on - whatever, it's working now. Time for an upgrade.
Ok, back to the day, as I said it was beautiful. Niki was radiant as she should be and Bill looked so happy and content, I love seeing him that way. We got our hair and makeup done and were off to start pictures when I got a phone call from Jason's Sister, we were talking and she said oh oh, Piper just threw up. Oh no!!! They were on the freeway and Piper lost it. They had to stop to clean her up and then got lost so for almost an hour I was in a panic and showed up late for the pictures. We finally got Piper there and put her dress on her and took about 3 pictures before she said she was going to get sick again. Off came her pretty dress and on went the t-shirt. After that I sent the girls home. There was no way I wanted the flower girl to make a little scene at the altar. She was just devastated, she wouldn't let them drive away because she wanted to walk down the aisle. She was of course almost delirious too.
So we got her sent on her way back to Grandma and Grandpa's took our pictures and off to the ceremony. It was perfect. Niki and her Dad almost made us all cry, he was tearing up and then she noticed and she made the cutest, sadest little kid type pout that just put us all on the edge. She gained her composure and Bill kept his.
The reception was at the LaFayette Club and it was stunning, just gorgeous! We all had a great time. I loved getting to see family that I haven't seen in a long time. It was so nice to catch up with my cousins, Cassie, Sasha, Heidi, Al, Tabitha and of course seeing Mandy and Rachel (my little twin). I was so distracted over Piper however that I couldn't get her off my mind for more than 10 minutes. I did my usual, running around like a chicken with her head cut off. I am getting worse and worse at sitting still and enjoying the moment. I need a pill of some sorts. LOL. Oh, I almost forgot, I actually got up and made a toast, first time I've ever used a microphone. Jason said it was great so I'm going with that. :)
Jason and I stayed overnight at the club as well as Mr. and Mrs. Miller so we had the honor of having breakfast with the newlyweds the next morning. We had such a great time and were so honored to be a part of their day. Thank you two!
Niki's friend Claire did our makeup
Almost ready to put on the dress
and here she is
Reagan during pictures, she had no idea what we were doing and didn't care, she was in the park and running around having fun
My little sweetie, her face is almost as white as her dress. Claire did a great job with Piper, I don't think I would have handled it as well as her. We love you Claire, you are so wonderful!
The newlyweds at the pub after the ceremony
This is the only picture I have of us two

Updates coming......
Monday, August 25, 2008
Hi everyone, I know, I know, I've been slacking on the blog again. After the wedding I was so disappointed that I didn't take many pictures that I haven't sorted through them all yet. I need to track down a few of the others who did take a bunch of pictures and get a hold of them. It was a beautiful wedding - more to come tomorrow.....
We just got home from an awesome long weekend at the cabin with friends and all the kids. Well 4 kids total. We all had a great time, I have a bunch of pictures of the kids all lined up looking cute as ever.
Rehearsal done, time for the main attraction
Friday, August 15, 2008
Last night we had the rehearsal and grooms dinner. Mom, Jill, Bill and I have a pretty memorable moment from the end of the night along with a caption in which I am keeping to myself. We dropped a case of root beer in the lobby of Mom's building and I don't think any of us will ever forget Bill's reaction. Pure Bill, absolutely hilarious!
We are all so excited for today, it will be beautiful and busy but I hope we can enjoy every second of it.
One of the treats for me during this entire process has been getting to know Bill and Niki's friends better. They are two wonderful people in themselves and they have surounded themselves with some of the most fantastic friends, it has been a very heartwarming experience all around.
Ok, just a couple of pictures from last night...........
Our pretty girls
These two, just so darn precious!

Mom, Jason and I, this is into the evening a bit - not the best picture around
Bill and the girls before rehearsal, and Collin (sp) another little cutie patute!
Grandma and Grandpa were having a great time, looked great, and were unofficially adopted by Niki's family. Where has the summer gone??

Only 1 more week until Baby Bill and Nik the Chick get married. We are very excited in this house. Piper has her dress, is obsessed with her new shoes and we've been trying out hairstyles for Piper. I just hope that by the time she is actually at the wedding she's still as excited and doesn't get all shy. I have this fear that she's going to be the shy, naughty flower girl. We will see......

Visit with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa
Monday, August 4, 2008
Last week we drove Mom to the dentist and while we waited we swung over to visit Grandma and Grandpa. We had a very nice visit, although it was only for a couple of short hours. I'm glad I finally got to see the new place.
More cabin fever
We headed up to the cabin again on the 25th/26th. It was a short visit since I had another cake class on Sunday morning. We still packed a lot of fun into our 1 day visit. We celebrated Robin's Birthday a few days early.
a little family canoe trip around to the pond - Piper insisted on helping so I got to sit back and take pictures

The girls hanging out with Grandma and Great Grandma on the floating dock
we had a little picnic lunch out there it was so gorgeous
Piper's a picker - yep - any dry skin she can find - I know - this is really gross!
Reagan enjoying her freedom outdoors
she walks up and down the path, practicing her balance

my girls are just hams
boy, it's been a long day of play, I better lean back in Grandma's new chair
our friend the chipmunkmore haming it up
this is how close we can get to the chipmunk, he is not scared, when my friends and I were up there he went up to Heather's foot and gave her a sniff, funny considering Heather is usually so afraid of crawly things

this is so darn cute but this is also so typical, Reagan starts with her whining/crying as soon as Piper touches her, she's been hurt one too many times, now it's an immediate reaction when Piper's around
