hodge podge

Ok, I am going to keep more up to date, I am, I am, really I am (going to try). Here is a little mix of a few things. I have a bunch more to post including pictures of Vienna and Grandma and Grandpa's visit.

Just looking cute!
we had a perfect kodak moment until I got the camera and then Piper decided to take a picture of me with Mom's phone

A few weekends ago while Jason was in Seattle Lonsdale had their Community Days. I took the girls up to town to join in the kids parade.
I didn't realize until we got there that I could have brought their Barbie Jeep up, oh well, the peddling is great excercise and they had fun!
Every night we are greeted with little visitors hanging on our windows. I like these little tree frogs, I've never had a problem with frogs but our friend Keith sure does as one lept off the house and landed on his face at our housewarming. He was not ammused.
We've woken up a few mornings to fog, this morning in particular a week ago was really thick, I didn't think anything of it up on the hill as per this picture until I walked down to get the newspaper.
As you can see down the hill it was thick, my lense was dirty as you can see the dark spot in the middle of the picture but I got some pretty cool shots. I noticed a rabbit at the top of the driveway (he's the little spot on the right side of the hill there).

Goody having some breakfast

Now we are on to pears. Jason was nice enough to go out and pick the remaining pears on our tree(s). It's kind of like where's waldo as you can't really see anything but a speck of his blue jeans in the tree. He really is in there.
New angle, here he is
Every once in a while Layla goes out exploring and brings home some interesting finds. I'm not sure where she found these antlers but she retrieved the full set and then went about chewing away until Jason took them away from her.

I have been a lazy blogger

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

Ok, so I've been a lazy blogger and our housewarming was a month ago. It's such a process to post 5 pictures at a time so I've been using facebook. Maybe there is an easier way, like the new blog that Jason set up for me many months ago but I haven't figured out yet. I'll get there, perhaps after the girls start school and I have a few hours a week to myself. We will see...

Here are the housewarming photos. It was a beautiful day, sunny and warm but not too warm. We had a great turn out and enjoyed being able to have all these people out at one time and not being crowded in a small area. I loved walking around with almost all of our favorite people enjoying our yard, pool, food. I've never enjoyed hosting a party before but out here, I wish we could fill the house with family and friends every day (and for the first month and a half we just about did have visitors every day).

Liam's first time in the jeep, he was holding on for dear life, we all got a good laugh at his expense
Aydan was enjoying herself
and so was Reagan

Robin and and Marilyn swooning over a new baby (he was pretty darn cute, I got to hold him for quite a while too).

The pool was a popular hang out, it just took one person to jump in before many others joined. Jason and I wish we could have jumped in too.
