Park playing

Piper is getting more brave, each time we go to the park she tries new things, she loves to challenge herself (and her Mommy by the way!)

Ok, is Reagan a Miller baby or what???? She definitely takes after my side of the family.
Reagan loved swinging - I think this is the first time we put her in a swing at the park, she just loves being outside period!
Another challenge accomplished, she can now climb backwards up the slide, then takes a quick rest and slides down to do it again.
A little quality Grandma time, I still remember swinging with Mom when I was little.

Attempted kite flying

Piper and I attempted to fly a kite last week. The only day that was nice enough to go outside wasn't very windy. It took both of us to get it flying and once it was up Piper lost interest altogether so we moved on to the park.

Daddy's little helper!

Last weekend was another home improvement weekend! After getting the new gutters installed I noticed how badly the trim needed another coat of paint so I got started on that project and Jason and Piper replaced a few boards on the deck. Piper was the nail assistant, handing Jason his nails one at a time. They did good work, now that we restained the deck it looks great!

Quality Claire time

Piper had a very good day last Friday, we had lunch with Holly (who's working at IDQ) so guess what we ate???? Ummm, yummy lunch! (Thanks again Holly!) and then spent the afternoon visiting with Claire. They played with Layla in the yard and Piper had to show off all of her toys, she was in heaven!

Big Girl Bath

Reagan is getting too big for her little baby bath tub so I finally moved her into the seat. She's working on sitting up and getting better every day but she hasn't quite mastered it yet. She's getting so big, I just can't believe it, she's almost 6 months already. Her new tricks, mostly blowing raspberries and talking to her big sister. She loves to bounce in her little chairs. She doesn't roll over from her back to front yet but when in her crib she will roll from front to back, not so much on the floor. She needs more floor time to really explore but I'm not really ready for her to be mobile yet.

She loves her big sister, they have daily giggle fests, I need to capture one on video.

Still not much sleep for Mommy, she has been waking me up twice a night for a few weeks now, I hope she's just working on teething and she will start sleeping again very soon, I am so tired!

Weekend Fun

Man, we have had some fun weekends lately. Last weekend Piper, Reagan and Jason headed up to the cabin leaving Mom behind to watch Grandpa's dogs and get some R&R. The camera went to the cabin but I don't think it made it home as we still haven't found it yet. (Jason W!!!).
On Friday Mom and I took the girls for a walk around Edinborough lake and Piper spotted Chuck E Cheese, she didn't stop talking about it (and still hasn't) until Jason finally took her there this morning. They had a great time, I really believe it's one of Jason's favorite places so there wasn't a lot of arm twisting on Piper's part to get him to take her there. The pictures are great - so cute!
On Saturday we went over to St. Boni's annual Fall Festival and played games, and went on a giant slide - Piper had a blast. We then were lucky enough to be invited over to Grandma and Grandpa Kocina's for dinner - I think that was the best dinner we have had in a very long time as both Jason and I ate and ate and then ate some more. Yummy!
Well if the camera is found I'll take some pictures this week or we will have to wait until someone goes back up to the cabin to retrieve it for us. Sigh - oh well.
