Easter

coloring eggs, Grandma finally came home from Hawaii and joined us in the fun!

Awwww, her hands got messy
skiing! That was so much fun, I haven't been in 10 years. I was impressed with myself, it came naturally - just like riding a bike. I did have one fall though, one of my skis fell off and I had no idea how to stop gracefully, it hurt and my arm is still a little sore from rolling over on it but I got right up and went for it again - I loved being outside and moving!

Easter morning!

This little headband is so darn cute but Reagan hates wearing it. We keep trying, maybe some day we'll get a clear picture of her wearing it.

Piper with her "little girl" (Maddie) in the arcade at the hotel. The arcade was set up like Chuck E Cheese with tickets and little prizes they could buy with their tickets.
Reagan and Grandma at dinner.

The Cowmeadow's - Alli, Jeff, Maddie, Randi and Kendall.
I realized that I didn't take enough pictures on Easter. I have to get better at slowing down and making the girls pose. I don't have any pictures of Piper in her dress, I plan on dressing them back up in the next day or two to get pictures of them in their dresses. They will never know will they?

Gym this week

Thursday, March 20, 2008

We switched Piper's gymnastics from Tuesday to Thursday so she'd be surrounded by other kids instead of being the only one in her class. I was starting to get paranoid when the last kid left the class the week after they had a disagreement over a toy and then ran into each other leaving the poor little girl in tears. In all seriousness, the little girl joined her sister's class so their Grandma didn't have to sit through 2 classes in one day with a 2 hour break in between.

Ok, on to today's class - there were 6 kids in her class. Piper was the 1st one there - (I know - me early to something???) and she got more and more excited as the kids started arriving. She went right in and listened to Miss Jessica (her teacher) and followed directions to a T. I was so amazed at her progress, since I left during the last two classes to minimize distracting her I haven't seen everything she has done. She stayed with the group, did each activity, I was really proud of her. She even shared and waited her turn. I thought it was really cute, they had to partner up at one point and she grabbed the little boy next to her and put her arms on his shoulders and made him be her partner. Oh man, she's not shy (yet). What I was really impressed with is that they did backwards somersaults and while she needed help, she did it with enthusiasm. Before she was hesitant to do forward ones in class. It was really fun, I really wish I had my camera.

Piper's Paradise

Monday, March 17, 2008

Here are the pictures from Piper's trip to the "Bob Park" with Grandma Robin and Claire. She had a great time riding on the rides and meeting Bob and Patrick. Grandma and Claire were awfully brave to go on a weekend, especially the day after the Grand Opening, Mom and Dad thank them profusely!

These are so cute!

This is my favorite, she's holding onto Bob's hand for dear life, she told us "they didn't talk" like on the show.

Robin said she wouldn't come out of Bob's house (it's a big jumper). The guy had to go in and get her out, she was having way too much fun!
Piper is so funny, she's getting a bigger vocabulary and stringing more complex phrases and ideas together. It's a lot of fun to get a better glimpse into her thoughts. Since she was a baby we barely go out in public without someone commenting on how cute she is or of course her curly hair, she's always gotten a lot of attention so she must really try to engage people (I don't always notice because I'm doing 8 other things at once), anyhow as we were leaving the Mall on Friday night she turned to me and said "Mom, everyone is so nice to me today". I thought that was cute!

So big!!!

Saturday, March 15, 2008

What a clumsy week Reagan is having, she's all bruised and banged up, I'm not sure if she's getting more confident in standing and cruising and not paying as much attention or what. You can see a black and blue mark on her chin in some of these pictures, her upper lip is black too and she has a scrape on her forehead which is finally going away.
I love these little jeans!

I also love taking pictures of a messy eater if anyone remembers all the pictures of Piper covered in food. Reagan is so funny, she shovels food in two fists at a time and her favorite thing to do while eating is play "so big" and clap her hands. Piper and I say "yea" and clap our hands when she places her cup on the table rather than throwing it on the floor, it's Reagan's new game and she loves it!
"Daddy come give me a hug"

Piper's a much neater eater now days, she only wears a big on spaghetti night.
Trying to get a picture of her teeth.
There's a little sneak. I had just washed her face and put on a gooey lotion so she looks very slimy in these.
There's a good one of her teeth, not so great of her, she had just fallen so she was a little mad. Reagan is very sensitive and loves extra snuggles when her feelings are hurt.
This one is just plain cute, I never get good close ups without them being blurry. I'm really trying to lobby Jason for a new camera with some extra bells and whistles in hopes to get better pictures with less blur. He's just not buying it though.
Well we had a fun family night on Friday, we splurged and went out to eat at a really fancy restaurant, IHOP with the kids and then we went over to the Mall to let Piper do some laps in hopes of getting her to bed when we got home. While we were there we cruised through the new Nickelodeon Park, going forward referred to "Bob Park" and checked everything out. We didn't go on any rides or anything, just a sneak preview of the fun she's going to have with Grandma Robin tomorrow. It looks very nice, they've redone just about everything and it seemed very clean and cheery, I was impressed. There are a bunch of new rides and of course being Nick themed, all Piper's cartoon friends live there - it was a Piper oasis for sure, she could have some serious fun in there. The laps around the Mall turned out for an early bed time after all and since they were both tired out Jason and I got to sleep in until 8:20 this morning, it was very nice!

Another tooth, another cold

Sunday, March 9, 2008

Reagan's tooth is getting bigger by the day and this morning I noticed it had a friend starting to pop through. So she now has/is getting her two bottom middle teeth. I tried and tried to take a picture of her teeth but it's nearly impossible.

On another note, we just finally got healthy and bam!! Another cold is spreading through our house. The girls have been sneezy off and on this week and Reagan's nose has been going but that isn't unusual with a tooth coming in. Well now today I feel it coming on and strong! This one is one of those awful chest colds that starts with a little coughing and then you just feel this knot in your chest and I'm tired and hot and just feel worse by the minute. I think I'm just going to stay in the house until Spring arrives. Enough of these stupid colds already! I've never been sick so often in my life. Maybe all my years of hand sanitizing is catching up with me, I have no immunity left and well the girls, they are so little they haven't built up theirs yet. This is no fun!

Not so new pictures

Friday, March 7, 2008

Here are some new pictures, well they are actually a couple of weeks old but new to the blog. The first couple are Daddy being bombarded and loving it! These are old because grizzly finally shaved. Yeah for me, he's kind of bummed. On a sad note, with his latest hair cut, we've found several gray hairs. Read this quickly because as soon as Jason reads this it will be edited and no one will know.

A visit with Grandma and Papa. Yes, Piper is finally saying Grandma rather than Dora, not always but often enough. The girls love playing the piano and Robin is taking lessons so she always shows Piper her newest skills. I love watching them play. Reagan is really cool to watch, she doesn't usually just bang on the keys, she really watches what Robin does and then when Robin stops playing Reagan tries to mimick her.

Yeah - Aydan turned 1!!! Here are pictures of Aydan's 1st Birthday party. Mommy and Aydan had a little sledding accident the day before her big party so she was a little scraped up - oh she'll love to harass her Mom about those pictures when she gets older.

I just thought the last few pictures were funny, poor Heather was being bombarded by kids as she was trying to help Aydan open her presents. It looked stressful to me, especially knowing how organized Heather likes to be. I was feeling for you Heather!
