we had a fun weekend

We did a little visiting over at Dad's this weekend and got both Liam and Brecken together for the first time. I can't believe how different in size they are seeing as they were born only a few days and a few ounces apart. Boys vs. girls I guess. They are both so darn cute and I fully enjoyed holding them both. I got my baby fix yesterday.
It's also funny how much they've changed, at first Liam looked just like Nicole and now I see a lot of Shawn in him. At first Brecken looked just like Niki and now I think she looks just like Bill as a baby.
Piper loving her cousin
The two new Momma's had a lot to talk about
Reagan missed her nap so she passed out on the way home
during their nap today I went out and got them a new pool and a slip n slide (per Piper's request)
can you tell she was excited about the pool?
Reagan's maiden slide
Piper can't bring herself to toss her body onto the ground. I knew she wouldn't but she really wanted one and seeing it was only $8 I splurged
Jason had to "teach" her how to use it - I couldn't bring myself to do it either, it's just not warm enough yet
I swear when Bill and I had these when we were kids they were longer, Jason just kept sliding
Reagan snacking with her catepillar friends on her leg
Piper was playing with Justin (our neighbor), she calls him Chester, it's hilarious how she can't quite get his name right
Jason and Piper did some pruning of the wild jungle that has become our back yard

being cute

The girls this morning were goofing around and being so darn cute I had to take a couple of pictures. Piper had her first dentist appointment yesterday. She was a champ and let them polish her teeth up. She didn't care for the vacuum thing so she got to swish and spit in a cup. It was pretty cute to watch her take everything in.

Piper's last day of her 1st year of school

Today was Piper's "Celebration Day" at school. They did a few musical numbers and then all received their certificate of completion. Her teacher presented us with the future graduating classes of 2022 and 2023. Oh my gosh! Piper was much less shy this time around, she was singing and doing her dance moves. It was pretty cute. Unfortunately her Daddy is up in the Boundary Waters so he missed it but Mommy, Reagan and Grandma Mary all showed up to watch. Reagan has been under the weather for a few days so she had no interest in sitting still and I woke up feeling terrible this morning as well. We are hoping Jason is feeling good up in the woods, maybe he'll get to miss this round of yuck!

the girls all sitting together - most of them anyways - Hannah, Alyssa, Piper, Abbey, and Clara

Finally, new pictures

Saturday, May 16, 2009

Yes, yes, finally (Mom), some new pictures. Well they really aren't all new but I'm finally getting them posted anyways.
Reagan meeting Brecken, she just wanted to unwrap her and see more than just her little face, must get that from Papa Miller
Piper loves her too, she always wants to hold her
there are those chubby little cheeks, she looks so content with her Mommy
this is so strange to me, my baby brother is a father
if anyone wants to know a good present for Reagan this little train track from Fleet Farm was a big hit, as I removed her she kicked and screamed through the entire store

We took a day trip up to visit Grandma and Grandpa, Calvin went with us and needed to make a pit stop, Piper was in charge and does great with Calvin. As I was watching her I realized that she is not a baby, she has turned into a little girl and I said to Mom that she's not going to be this small much longer, she's growing and growing. I've noticed just in the past month that her pants are getting short too.

Great Grandma meeting her newest Great Grandchild
Piper loves her new cousin (even though she had said for the months leading up to her birth that she didn't want a cousin)
Reagan and Great Grandpa just adore eachother, they both just smile and smile when they get to visit

Great Aunt Steph cuddling with Brecken
this week Aydan visited us while her daycare was on vacation, when the girls had a chance to play together without Piper they had a blast. Piper was a little too much for them.
Mom came over and we did a small trip to the craft store and decided to let the girls fingerpaint

Piper and Grandma had their own project
Aydan loved fingerpainting
