wrapping the presents, making the cake, opening the presents

Wednesday, April 16, 2008

Here are Piper and I wrapping Reagan's presents, Pipers a great helper and likes to get right in there, she was in charge of tape
and after a few mishaps with too much tape she got the hang of it.
Cake preparation - we used Fondant again and Jason had some interesting words while kneeding and rolling it out - here I am covered in powdered sugar and that was nothing, my kitchen was completely covered, walls, floor, baseboards, counters - everything! Jason's painting skills
Here's the final product - it doesn't look big in pictures but it was basically made from 4 cakes.

Here's the Birthday girl, she loves balloons and pulls the string down, down, down until she has the balloon in her grasp.

it was a bit difficult for Piper to allow Reagan to open her gifts herself.

ahhh - the present is finally opened - something new to play with.

Doodlebops concert

We were lucky enough to score some tickets to the Doodle Bops (Disney show!?!) from our Gym. Mom and I took the girls, neither Piper or I had any idea what this was all about, we have never watched the Disney Channel. I guess I didn't even know it existed - shows how much I really let them watch tv huh?

The girls had fun, Reagan actually enjoyed it more than Piper. Reagan was dancing and talking away, Piper was more in shock, she just sat there in her seat staring. She wanted nothing to do with dancing. It was pretty funny. The more she grows up, the more I'm realizing how much like me (personality wise) Piper really is. Well this show is now Piper's new favorite request. I personally thought the concert was fun but I don't have a whole lot of interest in watching the show.

sorry Mom, this was just too funny not to include!

I know, I know,,,,,,,,,,

I know, I haven't posted in weeks! I have so much to post too, I have adventures, rock concerts, Birthday, Birthday party and Dedication pictures to post. I'm a bit discouraged as I don't know what was up with my camera settings or the photographers (myself included) but I think all but 2 pictures from Reagan's party and Dedication are blurry to varrying degrees. I looked through the pictures and then just shut it down, I will get them up this week, promise!

Easter

Thursday, March 27, 2008

coloring eggs, Grandma finally came home from Hawaii and joined us in the fun!

Awwww, her hands got messy
skiing! That was so much fun, I haven't been in 10 years. I was impressed with myself, it came naturally - just like riding a bike. I did have one fall though, one of my skis fell off and I had no idea how to stop gracefully, it hurt and my arm is still a little sore from rolling over on it but I got right up and went for it again - I loved being outside and moving!

Easter morning!

This little headband is so darn cute but Reagan hates wearing it. We keep trying, maybe some day we'll get a clear picture of her wearing it.

Piper with her "little girl" (Maddie) in the arcade at the hotel. The arcade was set up like Chuck E Cheese with tickets and little prizes they could buy with their tickets.
Reagan and Grandma at dinner.

The Cowmeadow's - Alli, Jeff, Maddie, Randi and Kendall.
I realized that I didn't take enough pictures on Easter. I have to get better at slowing down and making the girls pose. I don't have any pictures of Piper in her dress, I plan on dressing them back up in the next day or two to get pictures of them in their dresses. They will never know will they?
