May gardening

Tuesday, September 6, 2011

For Mother's Day I requested that the entire family help plant our garden. I was so excited and we were so ambitious and planted such a great variety of vegetables this year. Unfortunately we did not do any real prep work and the weeks took over while I was staying at Bill and Niki's watching the kids. By the time I got back home and had some time to dedicate to the garden it turned into that hot nearly 100 degree stretch and I just didn't get motivated in time to save any plants that may have been trying to come up. Oh well, there is always next year right?

Piper was enthusiastic, helping to turn over the soil after Jason tilled it.

One of Jason's clients sells these great little starter kits for a variety of vegetable gardens. The girls loved starting the little seedlings.

Easter

This year we decorated with glitter - glitter was everywhere!

The Bunny left a trail of candy coming down the stairs this year.

Dad ordered a flower basket of cupcakes, Piper really enjoyed them.
Cousin time!

The girls even got to celebrate with Tessa and Melaina this year. It was so cute watching all the little girls in their fancy dresses.

I think I just clicked the camera at a weird moment but it sure looks like she's growling, trying to keep others away from her basket.

Reagan's 4th Birthday (actual day)

Saturday, July 2, 2011

Of course Reagan had a great party a few days before her actual Birthday but on the actual day itself we decided to have a fun celebration day as well. We started off with presents in bed, then met Grandma Mary at the mall for a surprise pedicure (well they only had their toes painted), then we followed that up with a little visit to Chuck E Cheese.

Neither girl had ever been in a nail salon before, they were so excited to see the wall of nail polish, there were too many colors to choose from, finally Mom and I had to help them settle on one.
Presents in bed, our little family tradition.
Piper settled right into the chair and relaxed as if she was a pro.

New art supplies from Grandma Mary.
Piper's toes - neither girl realized you could have pretty little designs painted on their nails, luckily they don't expect the same artwork from Mommy.

I tried to get Reagan to take a picture with Chuck E but she slid as far across the booth as possible. She was yelling at me to get him away from her. I think Piper took off in the other direction as well. I ended up taking a picture with Chuck E just to show the girls he wouldn't hurt me.

Reagan's 4th Birthday Party

Friday, July 1, 2011

Birthday girl and her cake, she picked this out, I tried to get her to pick a fancy 2-tier cake with fairies flying around but nope, she wanted just Tinkerbelle's face. She's an easy customer.

Vienna sat front and center for present opening, she was great at cheering Reagan on.
Piper adores her Papa.
She got an entirely new jewelry collection.
My little sweetie, she pulled me aside and whispered, "Mom, are all those presents for me?". She was just beside herself with joy.
New dress up clothes to go with her jewelry.
With enough clothes to share with Piper. I love this picture, they both just look so happy.
Aunt Claire helped Reagan get all glammed up.
Brecken enjoyed helping Rea open her presents, at times it was hard to tell who was more excited.
She tried on all her jewelry at once.
It was gorgeous outside, in the 50's or low 60's. Everyone went outside but I warned Piper to wear her boots because it was a little muddy. She looked so cute all dressed up and wearing her boots.
Enjoying some time outside.

I love this picture of Bill and Vienna.
